There will be no formal get together in reality or online for the North East Region. Consultation will be carried out by email, so do look out for a message from the Regional Secretary, Bill Haylock, in the New Year and be ready to share your ideas and suggestions for rallies in both Scotland and the North East of England.
These were the rally plans for 2020 which were unfortunately cancelled.
May 1-6, 'Border Reivers' RALLY CANCELLED We will meet at Kielder Water Sailing Club on Friday 1st May. For directions on how to find the Club click here. The plan will be to sail that day and all day Saturday at Kielder. On Sunday those able to continue on the rally will transfer to Loch Lomond to sail there on Monday and Tuesday. Everyone will set off home on Wednesday.
It is possible to camp at Kielder Sailing Club though space is limited. Camping options at Loch Lomond are Sallochy or Cashel. You can launch your boat at Cashel but those staying at Sallochy usually sail there from Balloch which is the main launch site on Loch Lomond. If you have an outboard motor it is essential to register your boat with the Loch Lomond National Park Authority.
Organiser: Bill Haylock (Contact details in Journal.) It is essential to tell the Organiser if you are coming so he can advise numbers to Kielder Sailing Club and prebook space at the Sallochy site if you plan to camp there. Further details will be provided to those expressing an interest.
